it was something she said 

on the day we met

'you're such a good friend'

and I thought

I will not be waiting

I will be gone

I know what you've done, 

it won't help

leaving this waiting game

I will be your yesterday

'cause your games will come 

and never end

your shadows will come 

and be your best friend

but I won't be around 

when the sun goes down

and it all comes to an end
