when the door shuts, you know it's over
a calm is settling in after the storm
peace an' quiet fill my mind
a mind that was shattered in disbelief
of what happened
as loyalty has become something you have to buy
and now your last payment has been met, sometimes
a closed door, a closed mind, a closed life, brings peace
in the valley of a weary mind
I found my peace, I found my freedom, I still hurt sometimes
but then again, I don't mind, not any more, I've reached
the end of the line, I'm feelin' fine
peace in the valley feels so just, feels so fine, feels so right
reality hit me , even more than that, I have survived
