trash at ev'ry corner, in ev'ry alley
just lying there, in heaps cans an' boxes
in anything

trash a kingdom with a king where he lives
in, where he digs in, will hold his wealth, rich
without sins

collector of things, his to have to hold to care
to sell anywhere, fortune it brings, fortune in
the streets

fortune in heaps, a pocket full o' green, a king
walks the streets, diggin' in his wealth, kickin'
up trash, trash to harvest

trash a solid bet, something always there

Dollmaker

I walked the street on
a Friday afternoon when
it happened

people shyed away
heard them whisper
Dollmaker's here again

He rounded the corner
wearin' his cloak
of wealth an' honor

richness lay in his strides
he had come to collect his
outstanding debt

he went from door to door
collected more an' more
untill one could not pay

there he would take a\way
the beauty of the house
to square the debt away

he took them home
to his house of dreams
where they could be unreal

they would sit very still
and they don't move at will
these dolls were his only thrill

he had loved dolls all his life
ever since he was a child
promissed himself when he grew up

to have his own collection to admire
so he did, no one was to know his dolls
were to be the living thing on show
