Waiting to connect

sometimes

love will be that stranger

you never met

and sometimes cloudy days

will bear that heavy burden

you didn't expect

and sometimes

you're just glad

they're the days you've had

and sometimes

love will be that friend

lying low in waiting

to connect

when your times

are troubled

when you're out of touch

and out of step

and you just didn't connect

it will be that love

coming to you

over the mountains

in your mind and soul

finding you comforting you

as only love can do
