I'm out on this road

looking ahead into 

its distance

looking for a way out

looking for a way back

into my life

looking for a comeback

counting the milestones

almost losing track of

what I ever had...is...

when I find her

at the side of the road

showing me her true colors

in this life

harvesting her lost emotions

one by one

leaving no answer unchecked

telling me her dreams of a future

her future never shared

as she came to me

with that sweet innocence

in her eyes

asking for a love

her so many times denied

she found it with me

and she grew into this

beautiful, breathtaking woman

whom I could never deny love

as the love for her

was so much more I could ever

find
