A life living worth while

she was fair
she was kind
she was all
those things
love can find
it was a life
living worth while

then she changed
a change came overnight
as a new morning
broke its light

she met me
coming up
with a cold stare
in her eyes
a winter had come
and crept inside
her mind

and all I could do
was wait for
a new summer
to arrive

I waited many a year
sometimes I almost
lost my mind
and yes
a miracle came
a new summer
did arrive

where she met me
coming up the way
with a smile
and a shine
in her eyes

and once again
life became
living worth while
