Floating

I have to live this life
one thing I must do
something you get
born into
I feel like floating
down a stream
don't know
where it leads me
I just can't see
it's like a dream
floating
in different directions
all of them new
it's all a surprise
what I find
It's called life
it's a sunrise
a new dawn
I'm floating
down a stream
can't see
it coming to an end
somewhere, somehow
I believe
there's a place
where I'll stay
come to a rest
somehow, somewhere
this stream will end

Acceptation

no more happy days to lean on
no more yesterdays to dream of
as an aching heart is not the best
table to feast on

where happiness is your dead end street
where your light can't see and if you want
to know your future, you will do well to
read your past

it is that acceptation that in the end will
make it last

So tender so cruel

as the dream of my youth, where I found love
so real, yet never knew, is fadin', it leads me into
a new mornin'

where my heart's achin' as I'm wakin', bringin' me
back the only realty it ever knew, somethin' there
in my mind

chose to be tender, yet so cruel, as it brought  up
all my yesterdays with you, where I was full of
the tenderness and love

the ones, you never knew of, it then comes to my mind,
how tender, yet so cruel, a dream can be when it is
overruled by all those yesterdays

in an attempt to please, but leaves you behind in its
wake, so tender, so cruel, an dreams, ...
do they ever come true

Wonder of it all

I can only dream
of what I've wanted
but have become

I can only see
all the work I did
and have done

I can see what
I've become and not
what was in my reach

my world broke away
when I was in need
my world didn't come through
my world left me

so now it's takin' chances
with what I've got and
the wonder of it is, it still
is enough

so I live on out of my league
but still, yes still I'm pleased
what's become of me
