A new road

 when there's nothing left

and all your clouds come together

with the problems they bear

many as they are

brought on by all those wrong turns

in your life

waiting to be cast away

with all their sadness inside

a promise of a new tomorrow is waiting

where time will try to fit you in

at this stage in your life

as now you're walking  another road

with a changed mind

Lost in a smile

an' I see her comin' with a smile
on her face a laugh in her eyes
and I, I was lost inside

so when she left I was lost, lost
in a smile I knew never would be
mine now it's been many years
an' ev'ry mornin'

standin' on the porch I see her
comin'  hear her laugh in the wind
see that smile on her face

stoppin' right in front of me lookin'
at me with her famous laugh an' smile
sayin' to me

'I've come to see you again' and
she sees me smile but that's just
me dreamin'

starin' into the distance lookin'
for something that will not be
an' ev'ry mornin'

I see her comin' hear her laugh
see that smile upon her face and
yes I know I'm only dreamin' lost
in a smile

And I know you do

and again you've gone leaving me
all the good things inside of you yet
the best thing in you, you didn't leave
the best thing in you is you and me

and you must go, as you must, you must
go, you have my trust, go to that place in
time, live there for a while spend some
time on yourself, resting your weary mind

as I know you worry a lot, to where we are
and...are not, and you will be gone for some
time, walking the earth somewhere, with me
wondering , what you're doing so far away
in exile

and I'll never know the reason 'why' and yet...
I'll never need to, 'cause you're coming back
all smiles, having made up your mind, about
all that it is you desire

'cause whatever you do, I will always be
that what it is you need and...
I know you do
