sometimes

love's an answer you do not expect

and sometimes

trust is a treasure once given never upon to tread

sometimes

a life together is what you can share but most just don't get

and sometimes

most important of all is your soul given to the other

to cherish and to have

An old love

she crept up on me while I was sleeping

started about what once had been, I sensed

something was wrong, I knew I had to find her

would I know if I saw her, would the years not 

keep her away from me, I got up, still wondering

about her, with guestions at the back of my mind

I couldn't answer any of them, she had dropped

out of sight since a long time, her trail had run cold

there was nothing left to see, all I could do was

dig it up, at its roots she might be

I was getting near, so very close when I read this

ad in the paper and its news was bad, all it said was

I could stop digging, I could stop thinking of ever

finding her

now I've got all the answers and none of them

I like, it now is a never ending story, they take

a long time to die

today I was stunned
you dazed my mind
opened my eyes

afraid to take it
afraid it was not true
caught in my emotions

still there, still alive
cpuld you be the woman
I looked out to

it will be time
giving me the answer

Blessed

I found her by the side of the road waitin',
givin' me the eye wondering what life with
or without me would be like, she then offered
me her lips offered me her soul with...a promise
inside

now she's my heaven, its angel eyes leavin' me no
other option but to smile, an' yes I've been around
for many a while doin' things even angel eyes wouldn't
like but when I met her a change came overnight

an' now I'm wondering why I'm so blessed with this
woman offering me her lips  offering me her soul, as
did I, an' yes she's my heaven, its angel eyes, I found
her waitin' for me, wondering what life with or without
me would be like
