Sunrise in the morning

when the night comes for me

and its darkness is the pain I feel

when my heart freezes over

'cause you're no longer

my sunrise in the morning

I so much want to see

you're gone God knows where

you made a retreat I couldn't foresee

somewhere out there living the good life

wanting to be free

and I'm out here, wondering

what went wrong, what did I miss

what heartbeat became unreal

I have no answers

I'm not trying to find them

'cause there's no reason to explain

what happened here

so I'm picking up the pieces

packing suitcases, not coming back

no more sunrises, no more mornings

to meet

and I do what I always do

moving on, closing doors

opening new ones

no use wondering about the why's

the world is a great place to be

always new oppertunities  to meet

that's how I look at life

I'm very at ease, always am
when darkness is in reach, gently
she is in the night, with you there
at my side

you don't say anything, nothing at all
you don't have to, I know it all, just
lying there with you in the depth of
the night

I know, very strongly, here's where I live
here's where I belong, you're allways there
with me to share, without any regrets

Shadow of our desire

she's lyin' there, lyin' in wait
her seductive smile passin' behind
the darkness of her eyes

and her moist an' tender lips are
waitin', to unleash her passion on
my mind

as I know she will, as I am waitin'
stirrin' my fire with her emotion,
showin' me the flesh

of her history inside my time and her life,
where we are waitin' playin' an' teasin'
as she's pleadin'

closin' in as slowly as she can into
somethin' we both know all too well
yet it has to be played

along the lines of that shadow of desire,
that had remained when we first met and
only time

can reveal or tell, how long we will play
this game, how long we will go on, it will
be untill

our history is satisfied and has nothin' more
to burn then it will become the lie of our
thruth

cast aside, by the shadow of our desire
when... it fell

A thousand pains

over the road of darkness
travel those denied the light
spirits chained to a history
be it just or not

all have a tale to tell
how it came about in
the pit they fell where
only silence reigns

cries are muffled souls
are maimed where cold
flames house evil ways

yet do not burn flesh away
but still leave a thousand
pains

Just a word

I find myself searchin'
walking through the sadness
of a weary night lookin' for answers

lookin' for the word
once whispered in my ear
and now so hard to find

an' I know it's out there somewhere
locked in the wings of time waitin'
hopin' some day somewhere

it will come to me
walking through the sadness
of a weary night

and yes, out of the sadness
came the word and darkness became
a cloak laying over my shoulders when
it told me

I would no longer
