Sometimes

 

sometimes we love, sometimes we don't

sometimes there's a clock, we don't look

it has rules, sometimes we accept

somtimes not

sometimes we just don't want to know

when controll knocks at your door

when your freedom hangs in the balance

without a word

when life holds you ransom, a new spirit arrives

with the word go

and ev'rybody has an agenda filled with reasons

yet a freedom must not result in a destruction

some think its the only way, they're not the ones

worried about a freedom where rules pave the way

though we're with our backs against the wall

we remain civil and abide the law

sometimes we love, sometimes we don't

sometimes we believe and sometimes we won't

As my soul weeps

and yes, he was my father
in ev'ry sense of the word
I his promise to the world
he meant to keep

and when I fell in the face
of my future he raised me
up unto my feet so I could
live the life meant to be

and when he fell I raised
him up as well as I could
but in the end his life was
no longer meant to be

and yes, his souls's still
in me the one I couldn't
keep sometimes I can hear
him speak as my soul weeps

not a word will I breathe
to another, not a moment
will I be a bother

not a moment will I speak
before my turn, 'cause there's
so much grief in this world

so I'll keep my big mouth
shut, words that leave my
lips, must be a support

to others, never a bother to
my brothers never spill grief
onto my love

'cause she's more precious
than a gem found in a cave
for she's never late

to tell me why she's my mate
and kisses me in the shades she
will not breathe

a word to another of the truth
we've discovered, she wil not
talk about

the experience, the gem, we
found in our hearts, it will
allways shine

play its part, that's why I don't
speak words that maime or kill
that's why

I don''t speak words, that will
impose my will, that's why I don't
speak words

that will lead into deceit, that's
why I don't speak words that
will leave you beat

Just a word

I find myself searchin'
walking through the sadness
of a weary night lookin' for answers

lookin' for the word
once whispered in my ear
and now so hard to find

an' I know it's out there somewhere
locked in the wings of time waitin'
hopin' some day somewhere

it will come to me
walking through the sadness
of a weary night

and yes, out of the sadness
came the word and darkness became
a cloak laying over my shoulders when
it told me

I would no longer
walk through the sadness
of a weary night

I'm in a black sea
motionless, in need
not a word, not a line
was sent to me

living in the shadow
I wonder, what chose me
to live this life given to me

I'm down on my feet
looking for resources
to get away, from the pain

running behind me
I can't believe
I'm in a black sea

with not a line a word
sent to me
