My Heaven

she's like an angel in the morning
when she looks me in the eye and
folds her wings around me with
her restful holy sigh

and she shows me my heaven with
her garden waiting inside and I know
we will taste her fruit when we reap
what we sowed all through the night

and she takes me to all those lovely
places where she knows she'll blow
my mind

and she shows me she's my heaven

The long goodbye

when you left for no reason with all that anger inside
you left but you never left us comin' in like an angel
leavin' with a lie but on your ride of the long good bye
you never left us you just had something on your mind

and I know some sweet day I will hear that ol' familiar
knock from way back in time and I'll know you've come
back from your ride on the long good bye with that same
ol' lie never admitting you just couldn't leave us behind

Where time has no say

time the essence of life is runnnin' out of time
and there's nothing I can do to change its mind
my time is runnin' out of its time

and it's an angel's lie thinkin' time has no end
thinkin' there's angels 'round the next bend
thinkin' heaven's where rainbows end

and immortality's just a place where  angels play
and heaven has no end, it is where time ends where
immortality flies on the wing, high, and time
has no answer where Love resides

where Love stares you straight in the face
with closed eyes and as time shows no mercy
in its ending it has no say over where 'Love Eternal'
flies on the wing high
