Darkness on the rise

when the winds of time bring change

as a sun darkens in the sky, will tomorrow 

still be there at it's sunrise, or will a darkness 

be there on the rise

 

whatever the reason, I will rise, show my hand

and bring this darkness down into submission

where my strengt and will, again will force

a dark sun, to show it's better and brighter side

again

Satisfied

there are times, when my heart misses a beat
and hits a minor key, when I think of all those
yesterdays, dusty and grey and I'll be lost in my
sadness

of what might have been and just not turned out
to be, 'cause something a past will never do, is
change its taken course when it has been sung
out of tune

and I have so many a time and my rope was getting
shorter ev'rytime, but that's life, getting the wrong end
of the stick was getting to be a habbit to me, someone
told me I had to quit and just let it be

and I did, I managed to get back on track, getting more
and more satisfied, with what I had, more and more
responsible for what I did and getting into old age
gave me a break

I was satisfied, not yet old still alive inside, my thoughts
will always get the better of me, I'm just hoping time will
give me something more and not give up on me too soon
even now I'll always keep coming back, still satisfied
with what I have

Change of heart

deep within the wings of time
my thoughts lie bare, waitin' to
be collected, one by one to keep
them save from destruction, by
the hunters there, tryin' to change
them for me

and I know they will be comin', takin'
away the only freedom I have, my freedom
of thought, so I have to run leavin' them
behind, waitin' for me to collect them again
when time has had, a change of heart and
my thoughts again, can speak their mind

Love's complete

love's cruel, love's tender,
love's a wonder, love can change
in a flash of anger

most of all it's sweet, has you on a lead
somethin' you can't beat when love's
complete

a shot of love nourishin' your brain
can have a cold touch, soaked in poison
straight to your heart

it'll tear it apart that cold cold touch
love can stare an' have enough, it'll
choose another victim to stay

will set it on fire by wild desire by
wild rage it's caged an' won't leave
this is love complete

stays uncounted days an' nights
you've discovered life, hang on
where love's wild

Where time has no say

time the essence of life is runnnin' out of time
and there's nothing I can do to change its mind
my time is runnin' out of its time

and it's an angel's lie thinkin' time has no end
thinkin' there's angels 'round the next bend
thinkin' heaven's where rainbows end

and immortality's just a place where  angels play
and heaven has no end, it is where time ends where
immortality flies on the wing, high, and time
has no answer where Love resides

where Love stares you straight in the face
with closed eyes and as time shows no mercy
in its ending it has no say over where 'Love Eternal'
flies on the wing high
